How to match yourself with your job?

Introduction

Your aim should always be a career that matches your skills and values. This will save you a lot of time when you fill application forms. You need to first look at yourself and your needs, your strengths then look at what the job is offering you. Match the two things and then you will know if the job satisfies your needs or not.

This is because there is not point in working for a job that will make you feel frustrated continuously and you will not be able to give your best output. There are some questions that you need to ask in regard to the job in yourself-

  • What are the requirements of the job?
  • Do you posses those skills and then you need to be honest with yourself in this regard.
  • What will be the duties that will come under the job?
  • Can I persuade someone that I posses the required skills?

If you are not sure about it then just think and delve upon evidence form your life about the time when you have demonstrated those skills that are required by the recruiter. Remember before you think that you don’t have those skills. Skills are always transferable and you need not have demonstrated them in professional life they could have well been demonstrated from your personal life too.

The best experience and skills that you could have would be of holding a position in some office in the same industry that you are now seeking work in. This doesn’t mean only a job with a top employer will do, although it will be a great plus. Any part time job during your uni days will suffice too. You could also do volunteer work which also counts a lot too. Such experience and your success in it will supply you valid proof that you are meant for a career in that field and you won’t disappoint your employer.

You might have planned something that they will happen in a certain fashion and if they don’t go according to that you might feel frustrated, like you might think that you will get a permanent job and they appoint you as a trainee only, so don’t cry because things come gradually in life and learn to be patient. You might not be given the department of your choice but might be asked to make a beginning in another department as a foundation. So relax you are in and working you’ll get what you wan tin some time.
