Job Description:
Candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining new functionality of the website and other integrated web applications. Candidate will also be required to work and effectively communicate with the global team spread across the globe. Should have the ability to design and build effective web pages using a variety of graphic software applications, and tools. Use past experience and knowledge in web-analytical tools, traffic building techniques, SEO & SEM (Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing) effectively for continuous improvement. Act as technical expert and coordinate research, testing, and implementation of new web techniques that can be integrated with the commercial platform/website. Implement/advocate new sections and devise unique solutions/modules/features or customized tools to improve website usability, penetration/reach, user experience etc. Other responsibilities include ensuring website security, handling communication directed to the webmaster, Monitor web site usage and make recommendations for further improvements to the web site and server; Candidate would also be responsible for: oMonitoring and analyzing web traffic, ensuring balanced load on web, application and database servers. oDocument web best practices and write maintainable HTML/ASP code with comment tags. oAssist in development of a new look and feel for web sites, update all content.

Desired Profile:
Candidate should have 3-6 years of experience and have the following skills: oExpert knowledge of HTML 4.0, XHTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript; Strong knowledge of web standards is a must. oHands on experience with struts, velocity and hibernate oKnowledge of open source technologies oExperience with Google Search Appliances would help oKnowledge of conversion of existing images (TIFF, BMP, PSD) for online use (JPG, GIF) using Adobe Image Ready and PhotoShop and thorough knowledge of browser compatibility issues for all platforms are a must. oAdobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash oExcellent creativity and good communication skills oExpertise with at least one server side web technology JSP or ASP oApplication development knowledge of SQL based database would be added advantage oWorking with Slicing, Mocks, web Forms, PSDS, and AJAX for website front end Candidate should also have experience in remotely installing and managing web applications in online Linux web servers running Apache, Tomcat & EnterpriseDB/Postgres/Oracle.
